This charming Indian hand held mirror is typical of the tribal artwork of Banswara in Southern Rajasthan. The area is prominently populated with Bhil ethnic tribes with their own distinct design styles. Themes include strong geometric carvings around the frame and the prominent use of parrots seen here sitting atop horse heads.

This mirror has been waxed to bring out the best of the faded carvings and beautiful patina.
