These old pots come from South Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They are carved from  a solid piece of teak with blacksmith forged iron fittings. They were normally used in the kitchen for storing cooking ghee - sometimes used by the bullock cart drivers to store grease for the axle. Seldom used in Indian kitchens in these times of modern materials, a perfect gift for a collector of village art, each one is unique.
